The English wine industry continues to grow at an impressive pace.

Recent figures show:

• wine production increased significantly following the excellent 2025 harvest
• exports continue to expand, particularly into Scandinavia, North America and Asia
• investment in vineyards remains strong
• premium sparkling wine continues to dominate export demand
• wine tourism is becoming an increasingly important revenue stream for producers.

Interest in vineyard ownership also remains high.

Although the rapid planting seen over the past decade has moderated, established vineyards with visitor facilities continue to attract buyers, particularly those with recognised brands, hospitality businesses or scope for expansion.

At the same time, more growers are investing in winery equipment, visitor centres and luxury accommodation rather than simply planting additional vines.
