1. The Grange - The PINK NV
The Grange PINK NV like Champagne is a blend of two red grapes, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier that has been aged on the lees for a considerable amount of time. Beautifully pale with fine bubbles, the red fruit aromas are fresh and enticing. The flavours are long and persistent with a round creamy texture and a lovely vibrant and refreshing finish that makes you want to go back for more.

2. The Grange - The White From Black 2020
Like Champagne, the wines at The Grange are all made from three grapes. The red Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier and the white Chardonnay. The White from Black from the excellent 2020 vintage is made entirely from Pinot Meunier. In Champagne, you'll find Meunier is grown mostly in the Vallee de la Marne. We love wines made with just Meunier and it's great to find an English vineyard providing a focus on the grape which tends to produce a more aromatic, fruiter style of fizz and this is a beautiful example.

"This seamless and effortlessly balanced wine hits the spot with glorious accuracy."
Matthew Jukes, Vineyard Magazine
English Sparkling Wine Vs. Champagne
English Sparkling Wine is typically made in exactly the same way as Champagne (the Methode Champenoise) where the wine undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle to produce the fine and persistent bubbles. It’s then typically left for 2/3 years to develop character and elegance. In addition, many use the same grape varieties (Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay).
As the vineyards are cooler, the grapes ripen slowly preserving acidity while developing complex flavours and the chalky soils are excellent for drainage and contribute to the minerality of the wine and enhance flavour profiles. So it’s no surprise that some of the leading Champagne Houses like Pommery and Taittinger have begun to establish vineyards in England .

Sustainability
Choosing English Sparkling Wine isn’t just a treat for the palate - it’s a step towards a more sustainable future.
Shorter supply chains mean lower carbon footprints. But it goes beyond that. Many English producers are committed to organic, biodynamic, and regenerative farming practices - caring not only for their vines but the wider ecosystem.
So you can enjoy every glass knowing it’s doing good, not just tasting good.
